Litres, US Gallons, and Imperial Gallons
This is a calculator to between convert Litres, US Gallons, and Imperial Gallons. Much of what is in literature on homebrewing and online is from the US and uses the measurement units used in the US such as US Gallons. Additionally, literature or items produced in the UK will often refer to “gallons” which would be Imperial Gallons, not US Gallons.
US Liquid and Dry Gallons
Note that there are two types of US Gallons: US Liquid Gallons and US Dry Gallons. This calculator does unit conversion for US Liquid Gallons.
