Mashing With Brew In A Bag (BIAB)
This calculator predicts the temperature of the strike water needed to hit your mash temperature target in a Brew In A Bag (BIAB) set-up. With a BIAB set-up, a kettle of pre-heated water containing a bag serves as the mash tun. So unlike traditional brewing methods, the mash tun is already heated.
Note that an average water density is used for a typical mash temperature as water density varies with temperature.
